“Sylvain was a fantastic host!”
I would highly recommend staying at his airbnb. The location was central and a short walking distance from all the major attractions in Bordeaux. Sylvain was extremely organized and communicated the instructions for check in/check out very well. The apartment was extremely well decorated. I would definitely come back.

“Sylvian is very professional and his apartment in Bordeaux is even better than the photos!”
My husband and I were taken aback with the cleanliness and modern fit out of the place. Kitchen is very well equipped and we made ourselves breakfast every day and dinner once in our 3 night stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend! Thank you Sylvain

This apartment is perfect for a couple staying in Bordeaux. First, the location is great, the Chartron area has great restaurants and is only a short walk to the center of town. The apartment was immaculately clean which is really important to me. The kitchen had everything necessary for fixing meals and such. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet. Although, there is no air conditioning there are windows/doors on both sides of the apartment so that the air flow quickly cools the apartment. The bathroom is sufficiently large for my 6’4″ husband (which commonly isn’t the case in Europe). We would highly recommend this apartment to others.

“Sweet email from our clients”
Arrived home earlier this afternoon with everything going to plan. Flights etc on time and we had a typically cool, grey Scottish weather awaiting our return!!
I wanted to say how much we both enjoyed our stay in Bordeaux. My wife and I have visited many cities around Europe and we were both very impressed with your lovely city. We enjoyed the scenery, architecture, restaurants and of course the wine. Everywhere we visited, people were very hospitable and made us feel welcome.
We very much enjoyed our stay in your apartment. It was extremely comfortable and had every
appliance that we needed to make us feel at home. The location was ideal and it was nice feeling part of the Chartrons area for our time there when we were shopping for groceries or using the trams. What a great way to see the city – the transport system is excellent and not expensive to use.
We have got some great photos to enjoy and plenty of happy memories of our trip. Thank you for your help in making our stay such a nice one. And kind regards to Caroline for helping me with my very poor French vocabulary.
Au revoir and maybe we will return to Bordeaux again some day……
Gary & Janice from Scotland, Stayed May 2014
It ticked all the boxes, location, clean, private, easy to access. This was my first airbnb experience and it was great! The apartment is beautiful, and a stroll/tram journey to everything in offer in Bordeaux. We were created with a bottle of wine on arrival super nice and even dropped our luggage off earlier than the usual 3pm check in.
The square behind has an amazing array of restaurants! Thanks

We have just returned from staying in this flat. All the previous testimonials are accurate. It is a very comfortable flat and we spent a very happy week there. Just 2 tram stops from the town centre; brilliant shops and patisseries right on the doorstep – it could not be better. We have already booked our next stay there!

“Spent 4 nights in the lovely apartment in September”
Its perfect for exploring the city, close to the tram stop, but also within easy walking distance to the centre of Bordeaux. Its in a quiet street and in an even quieter block.
The booking process was painless, with the owner contacting me almost right away. When we arrived, the agents rep was very helpful, with nothing being to much trouble (even though we were late and she had to wait for us to arrive).
The apartment has everything you need for either a short or long stay. Very clean and tidy, with a good kitchen (the Nespresso machine is a nice touch), fridge, cooker and washer\dryer etc, with table for two to eat at easily (four at a push). The bathroom is very good, with an fab waterfall shower. There is plenty of room in the sitting room for the sofa and table, with a large desk and a TV above it.
There are a large number of restaurants within walking distance, but after travelling for a week, it was nice to be able to cook for ourselves and do our own thing. There are plenty of good shops at the end of the street, all perfect to allow you to eat in the apartment.
I would highly recommend this for a couple looking to spend time in Bordeaux

“Great location, very comfortable”
We found this accommodation to be clean, well equipped, modern, comfortable and pleasant. The location is great, adjacent to tram to Centre Ville and Gare St Jean but we enjoyed the 5-10 minute walk into the city centre each time that we went. The nearby Place du Marc du Chartrons has a selection of reasonably priced bars and restaurants (with some wonderful food selections) in a quaint little square. There is also a supermarket 2 mins around the corner if needed. Check in was a simple process (thank you Nathalie) and the bond refunded just as efficiently at our early morning check out. Sylvain was also very quick and efficient with all communication as required.

“Great apartment, location and service”
We had a great time in the Bordeaux apartment. It was exactly as it looked in the photographs. It is great to stay somewhere with a fantastic shower and bed. We loved how close the botanic gardens and the tram were. Bordeaux is great city and we hope to visit again.

“A Fine apartment in a Fine Location”
Our train was late arriving in Bordeaux and Sylvain was immediately accessible and helpful in facilitating our slightly later than expected arrival at the apartment. The accommodation, in a characterful eighteenth century building, was clean, well equipped, modern, comfortable and pleasant. The location suberb – adjacent to tram to Centre Ville and Gare St Jean. While only 15 minutes walk from Centre Ville it was also away from some of the less welcome “hustle and bustle” of city centres. The nearby Place du Marche du Chartrons has a selection of reasonably priced bars and restaurants in the pleasing setting of a impressive square. Au Reve at number 10 offers good food and drink at reasonable prices. A fine apartment in a fine location.

“Great city location”
Perfect apartment for any couple on a short-stay vacation. Nice apartment in a brilliant location a stone’s throw from a tram-stop and only three stops away from the heart of Bordeaux. Check out the neighborhoold cafes / bars in the “market square” close by.

“Stylish, comfortable apartment in a great location”
We had a very enjoyable one week break. The apartment was everything we expected from the website. Accommodation was excellent, great having a tram stop at the end of the road.Good range of shops and restaurants nearby. Would recommend the the set evening menu at Gravelier. Sylvain was very prompt and efficient in all our communications.

“Chic and perfectly located Bordeaux apartment”
I had a great stay at Sylvain’s apartment. It’s elegant and chic, has everything you need and is ideally located in the Chartrons area. I loved that there was a good bottle of wine awaiting me and I found the apartment quiet, clean and comfortable. The shower is bliss! There was also a great local restaurant literally across the street.

“Sylvain’s apartment was perfect for our stay in Bordeaux”
The apartment itself was spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable. It was centrally located in Bordeaux, but was still quiet. Sylvain was great about communicating with us and making it easy for us to access the apartment. The bottle of Bordeaux and Nespresso were both very nice touches. We really enjoyed using the kitchen, which was large and well-equipped. After a week of travel, we were glad to have access to the washer/dryer as well. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely return in the future.

“I was very satisfied with my stay by referring more people to book this apartment”
It’s a very comfortable apartment with all the facilities I need. I stayed there for 5 nights and every day, I walked to my working place. It’s very convenient for me. On the way back to the train station, the tram station is just downstairs. I will definitely book this apartment each time I return to Bordeaux and also recommended my supplier to book this apartment for the others.

“I spent an excellent four nights here”
Having been recently refurbished, the kitchen, bathroom and living areas are all very well finished. The bed particularly was incredibly comfortable…I struggled to leave it most mornings! Slyvian was an excellent host; providing all the information I needed as well as prompt and detailed responses to any queries I had. This was particularly appreciated asI booked my stay here at very short notice.I highly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for somewhere which offers a reasonable rate, excellent service, and in a fantastic part of Bordeaux.

“Highlight of our trip so far”
From the efficiency of contact and regular messages, to the wow factor of the apartment as we walked in, our stay at Bordeaux apartment was enjoyable and the highlight of our trip through France so far. It provided everything we needed and more…the bottle of wine to greet us was a lovely touch. Well done to people who know what travelers need and desire, and thank you.

“Comfort & Convenience”
We have just stayed four nights in this very comfortable, well-appointed and stylish apartment. The photos on the website are completely reliable. The furnishings are very tasteful and good quality. No expense has been spared in equipping the place to the highest standard. There is convection heating, and a heated towel rail in the bathroom; a full oven, two ringed induction cook top, Nespresso machine with a starter supply of capsules, and every possible gadget you could need to prepare a tasty meal at home. Cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils are all excellent.
Wi fi, and cable TV are available. The only tiny negative comment we have is that the lighting in the living area is a little inadequate if you want to read in the evening. There are excellent reading lights in the bed head, but you may not want to retire to bed early in order to read comfortably.
The apartment is in a secure building on the second floor, with easily managed stairs (not tiny spiral staircase as in so many older buildings in France). Chartrons is a very interesting and historic part of Bordeaux, and there are many convivial bars, restaurants, cafes and an eclectic collection of shops in the area. The apartment is within easy walking distance of everything you could need to make your stay comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. The city is very easy to navigate, either on foot or by regular, reliable and comfortable public transport.
It was very easy to deal with Sylvain throughout the booking process, and our greeter, Veronique, was very helpful, efficient, and above all pleasant – she was generous with her time in orientating us to both the apartment and the neighborhood.
A highly recommended holiday rental!

“We loved Sylvain’s place”
Service was excellent. Mr. Sylvain responded quickly to our inquiries. His representative was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. She was gracious and professional. Location is excellent, although we gained a few pounds eating at the lovely nearby restaurants. Tram is less than a block away and runs frequently. Apartment has everything you need to sleep, cook, eat, bathe, do laundry, etc in comfort and cleanliness. Tv has a few English channels, but get out and enjoy Bordeaux!

“Holiday Rental Bordeaux has it all”
We stayed at this apartment for 10 days in July/August. The whole experience from the initial enquiry, to booking the apartment, arriving, and leaving was handled smoothly and professionally by Sylvain and his representative, Veronique. Sylvain went out of his way to book our train tickets from Paris to Bordeaux – even for my friends who were not staying at the property. Exceptional service! The apartment is exactly as shown on the Internet. It is conveniently located in the Chartrons area of Bordeaux – an area once the domain of the wine merchants, but now home to many galleries, and antique dealers. The apartment is 2 trams stops from the main city, and as the tram stop is just at the end of the street, this is convenience plus, without the noise of the central city. All the day to day requirements can be met locally, from the Chartrons Sunday market to the local shops and the bakery/patisserie at the end of the street. We had a great time living like locals albeit ones who could not speak French. Veronique who greeted us, and showed us around the apartment was a delight. She also returned our security deposit to us, and was available by phone or email for any queries we had, as was Sylvain. I have no hesitation in recommending this holiday rental.

“Great Location, Great Service”
Bordeaux apartment is a great place where we stayed for 10 days. The service we received from the owner, Sylvain was superb. He even booked our tickets from Paris to Bordeaux on the train for us, and our friends. His representative, Veronique was very sweet and carefully explained all the features of the apartment to us when we arrived. Both Sylvain and Veronique were available by email or phone had we needed any assistance. The apartment had all modern features and was easy to live in, and to keep clean. It is located in the Chartrons area, formerly the area of the wine merchants. It is only two tram stops from the city, and the tram is literally at the end of the street. All the requirements for day to day living are within very close walking distance. We particularly liked the fact that the apartment was quiet, close to everything, and gave one the sense of how it was to live like a ‘local’. Our other big plus was the assistance and contact from Sylvain Roullier and Veronique, and the prompt follow up to any questions or comments. We would wholeheartedly recommend this rental apartment to anyone wishing to stay in Bordeaux.

“We had really a good time in Sylvain’s apartment”
Sylvain responded to all our e-mails immediately and when we arrived to Bordeaux we were able to meet up with a representative to give us the keys with no issues. Everything ran very smoothly. It was the first time we rented an apartment rather than a hotel room, and we loved the beautiful and functional apartment and the homey feeling. The location was fabulous and everything was there as promised. There was also a surprise waiting for us: a very good bottle of burgundy. From Sylvain’s apartment we where able to walk to al lot of the must-see locations. Bordeaux is a city of lovely surprises around every corner and the apartment was a comfortable element in an enjoyable hassle-free stay. We had really a good time in Sylvain’s apartment. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful, Quaint Apartment in Historic Bordeaux”
Beautiful apartment in the historic district of central Bordeaux. Excellent presentation and very central(walking distance) to tram C (Place Paul Doumer stop) lovely bakeries and fruit shop right on the corner. Lovely to stay in an area with such history, yet enjoy modern amenities in the apartment itself.

“Brilliant apartment, great location and a fantastic city”
We had a very enjoyable experience of Bordeaux. The holiday rental apartment is in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes walk to the river, a collection of nice restaurants in the market square down a quiet side street. The city centre is about 10 minutes walk but the walk is very pleasant – either along the river or past the public gardens. We arrived a little earlier than planned, and were warmly welcomed by Sylvain’s representative Veronique who was very friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was very stylish, clean and tidy with modern appliances and pretty much everything that we needed for the stay was provided. Both Sylvain and Veronique were excellent in there communication with us, checking that everything was ok and whether we needed anything at all. The city itself was a great experience and we were lucky enough to be in the city during the Bordeaux Wine Festival, with a great selection of entertainment and great wines for a very reasonable price. We had a very enjoyable experience in Bordeaux, and would recommend this apartment and Bordeaux to anyone.

“Everything about my stay at Sylvain’s apartment was great”
My reservation was made at the last minute due to some last minute travel changes but Sylvain was very responsive, replying almost immediately and confirming my reservation. Checking in was a breeze, as Sylvain had a friend come meet me with the keys. The apartment is very clean, fresh and modern. All the technology worked as promised (wifi, cable, etc). There was even a bottle of red waiting for me! The shower is great and I slept super well – the bed is very comfortable. All in all it was a very good stay and i’ll definitely try to rebook when I back in Bordeaux…

“Home from Home”
The apartment is freshly decorated to a very high standard-the finish is classy and modern. We were greeted by a very pleasant representative who provided a good overview of how everything worked. Very well equipped which made it very easy to eat in. Good selection of guide books available. Location is excellent, just a short stroll along the river into the town centre. We also made use of the excellent tram and bus service Bordeaux has to offer. Contact with the owner was very efficient and proffesional. Bordeaux is a beautiful and impressive looking town. We enjoyed our stay there very much and will recommend the apartment to others.

“Stylish stay in Bordeaux”
This apartment is exceptionally well located within walking ditance of many important parts of the city and with easy access to trams and buses for a short journey to all areas. Good local information is provided in the apartment which was accurately advertised. The apartment was relaxing and pleasant to come home to. We experienced a one-off problem with the breakdown of the hot water service and the owner (overseas) and his very helpful friends did an impressive rescue job.

“Sylvain’s Bordeaux apartment is literally amazing”
It is extremely modern, well kept and has everything you could ask for. The Nespresso machine is also a very nice touch. It is a very comfortable place to base your stay in Bordeaux from and is just a couple of hundred metres from a tram stop – a short and easy trip from the train station. The area is very nice and close to many shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the water. It is very spacious and Sylvain was a very responsive host to our messages and texts. As he was away at the time, he arranged for keys and a local representative to be available for us.

“Great Stay in Bordeaux !”

“Perfect city bolthole”
My husband and I stayed in the apartment for three nights and had a brilliant time. The service was great – the owner wasn’t going to be in Bordeaux when we arrived so he posted the key to us and we had the number for his representative in Bordeaux if we had any problems, but we didn’t. The apartment is lovely and clean and has everything you need. The bed is really comfy and the apartment block was very quiet. It’s in a really nice quarter of the city but not far from the centre. I would definitely recommend this apartment to other couples.

“Gorgeous, Modern Flat”
Sylvain’s Bordeaux flat is exactly as he describes. It is modern, gorgeous, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location. His decorating tastes are fabulous and the condition of the flat was perfect. Our only wish is that Sylvain had more properties to lease in France. Excellent experience with Sylvain as a property manager. He quickly responds to everything and we had very few questions because he is so thorough. We hope to visit again next summer. Thank you so much Sylvain!!!

“An ideal location to explore a beautiful city”
If you enjoy walking and cycling to discover the hidden delights of a city, this flat is excellent. Within a matter of minutes it is possible to visit all of the key sights and yet it has a magical air of peace and tranquillity. The area is rich in very good restaurants and a host of antique shops. The flat itself has eveything two people could need. It is tastefully appointed and very comfortable indeed. It is quiet and has all the facilities that make a stay pleasant. Parking, however, is not easy!
Lucia from London, stayed August 2011
The apartment is located in a very chic zone of Bordeaux (des Chartrons neighborhood), an about ten minutes walk from the centre of the city, with a tram line 40 meters away, in an area full of antique shops and charming cafes. The apartment is conveniently located near the river, bright and very complete. It is ideal for two people, large enough, with a spacious bathroom and a detached kitchen area. Sylvain is a very attentive host, responded to our emails very quickly and got in touch with us via sms to check that everything went correctly, both at the arrival and departure. We highly recommend it.
